Meet Gabriele and Lennart Achenbach - motherandson. Gabriele, a true sneaker aficionado, owner of Achenbach Designer Studio with almost 30 years of experience and Lennart, a Bachelor of Business Psychology and an active participant in the local sneaker scene. A wonderful alliance of great enthusiasm and Know How! A 'mother and son' creative team based in Stuttgart, GER, sharing a passion for the world's most collectible shoes. And we definitely didn't want to hide them in closed shoe racks or boxes. It all started with the desire to design a display unit for our sneaker collection. 2018 we developed our very first product, STEPS and founded our motherandson Design Lab. Our objectives: To exhibit and store shoes openly and aesthetically pleasing, making the sneakers the main focus. To design a wall unit not only suitable for entry areas or small walk-in-closets but also for living areas as a design object. Display and focal point at once. STEPS, a shoe display solution in three sizes, minimalistic with a timeless, aesthetic appeal. We are excited about STEPS, and we would like to share it with the world!
